ARTROOM

Graduates  from our rigorous one year Teaching Fellowship get to explore the range of options available to them to build a career in the arts.   Through monthly workshops structured around contemporary themes and led by artists, designers, photographers, film makers, architects, curators and conservators, students explore opportunities, identify their interests, build networks and hone their skill sets.

'The Teaching Fellowship leaves students at a point where they have  discovered a whole new world and learnt many new skills, and they are eager to dive deeper. The Artroom is that essential space where they can keep on exploring their new found strengths, keep on growing, creating and imagining...   It works in two key ways: as a space for students to continue to develop their art practice, firming up their individual creative voices.  And as a bridge for older students to make constructive links with creative professionals to shape their future careers.'
Ita Mehrotra, Artreach Programmes Head

Thank you to our Venue partner Sanskriti Kendra, Anandgram and Programme supporter / Knowledge partner Devi Art Foundation.
Participating students are currently from Aman Biradari, Udayan Care & Salaam Baalak Trust.

"We have learnt so many new things in Artreach that we didn't even know the names of before.  Artreach has truly widened our knowledge about different types of art and we have made lots of new friends as well and the teachers are amazing.  They are so co-operative that if we have not understood something they are ready and very sweetly make us understand it.  And currently this year we are learning how to connect art with different professions, like they have taught us techniques of photography, graphic designing, how to make digital electric music, dance and many more. It is really fun learning a lot of new things and i really enjoy going there. Thank you so much for giving me and my sisters and brothers this opportunity to join with Artreach foundation."
