For seven years we have been making dreams come true! 

Through our workshops and placements young people hone their skills, discover their passions and explore opportunities.

About Artreach's Workshops through Covid

Joining us through her care home’s computer or in person when Covid has allowed it, Geet* has found joy, renewed focus in learning and wellbeing in our workshops.
 
From the shapes and sounds of outer space, to Madhubani art, to painting with colour made from pomegranate and brushes from leaves, to papier mache masks, to drawing to music.

One workshop at a time, her imaginative world flourishes.

Why are we raising money?
​
​In 2021 Artreach team and 32 inspiring artists and artist educators led more than 300 workshops – reaching hundreds of children, young people and women in care homes and marginalised communities across the country. In 2022 we want to reach further!
​
  • Bridging the divide: we are deeply committed to bridging the divide in education that the pandemic has exacerbated: our workshops are a space for learning all about the world, gaining skills in basic literacy, as well as in visual arts.
  • Creativity nurtures resilience: we know – and research agrees – that making meaning through creative expression is an adaptive and resilient response to our challenging world.
  • Joy, renewed focus and wellbeing: are three major outcomes of our workshops reported by participants and their carers.
  • Communities are asking for our help: many more care homes and NGOs are reaching out to us for our workshops and we would love to be able to help them.​

We are campaigning to reach more children and young people from care homes and marginalised communities with our workshops.
