'We have learnt so many new things in Artroom we didn't even know the names of before...'  Sonal
About the Artroom

The Artroom is for talented young people living in Delhi NCR care homes who have graduated from our Teaching Fellowship. They come for regular workshops led by artists, designers, photographers, film-makers, architects, curators and conservators, to develop their artistic interests and skill sets towards successful careers in the arts.  Workshops are supported by and in collaboration with Devi Art Foundation and take place at Sanskriti Kendra.

For older Artroom students who are nearing the end of their schooling we are offering internships and mentoring and help with applications to art and design colleges.  Three students have interned - with Devi Art Foundation and Atul Bhalla.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our campaign
From working the streets to Graphic Design - you can make the difference!
and the artists who have invited students to intern at their studios.

We can now offer 10 more internships to this talented bunch!

Thank you

'The Teaching Fellowship leaves students at a point where they have  discovered a whole new world and learnt many new skills, and they are eager to dive deeper. The Artroom is that essential space where they can keep on exploring their new found strengths, keep on growing, creating and imagining...
It works in two key ways: as a space for students to continue to develop their art practice, firming up their individual creative voices.  And as a bridge for older students to make constructive links with creative professionals to shape their future careers.'

Ita Mehrotra, Artreach Programmes Head

Thank you to our venue partner Sanskriti Kendra, Anandgram and workshops supporter and collaborator Devi Art Foundation.

Participating students are from Rainbow Homes, Udayan Care, Salaam Baalak Trust & Karm Marg.

"We have learnt so many new things in Artreach that we didn't even know the names of before.  Artreach has truly widened our knowledge about different types of art and we have made lots of new friends as well and the teachers are amazing.  They are so co-operative that if we have not understood something they are ready and very sweetly make us understand it.  And currently this year we are learning how to connect art with different professions, like they have taught us techniques of photography, graphic designing, how to make digital electric music, dance and many more. It is really fun learning a lot of new things and i really enjoy going there. Thank you so much for giving me and my sisters and brothers this opportunity to join with Artreach foundation."
